I"ve resorted to using locking stainless steel bowls in the cages and the largest dog’s water bowl set in a large kitty litter pan outside the cages (my guys free roam most of the time, they’re only caged at night for a couple of hours). I give them a cold bowl to play with in the hot summer, but they have a bottle in their cage for daily drinking. It doesn’t bother their teeth at all.I hope this helps!
