5/3/2008 · 7.5 watt is technically for 2-5 gallons, but once i went on petco.com to see about a small heater like that (i almost got a 2 gallon tank), and alot of the comments said "great for 1 gallon". I would suggest letting the heater work for a day or so if possible so then you can turn it down. GOOD LUCK!!!

My aqueon 7.5 watt heater does not seem to be working. It might be working, but since there’s no indication that it is, I have no clue haha. I’m starting a fishless cycle in my new tank, and I just plugged in the heater after ~10 hours of it being submerged in the tank (it says to wait at least 30 minutes after submersion before plugging it in).
