Yeah, the temperature adjustment dial on top is a pain given it has no degF graduations on it. It does work though, I’ve had tanks up to ~88F with it for an ich treatment when I first got the setup.

It seems to be heating fairly alright, though the temperature markers on the heater are a little off versus the temperature it actually heats to. However, there’s a weird thing going on with the rubbery bit on the bottom end of the heater.

This is all the instruction paper says about this matter, I QUOTE: "If it is set to 28°C, the heater will heat the water to 28°C and then will switch off when that temperature is reached."
